JOYE GROS, OP
I am a native of Memphis, Tennessee.  I went to school at Saint Agnes Academy where I met the Dominican Sisters.   My  ministerial experiences include elementary education, Director of Religious Education, pastoral associate, grief counselor for a funeral home and an Educational Associate at the Center for Development in Ministry.  I have spent much of my ministerial life in the Archdiocese of Chicago. I free lance in the areas of adult formation/spirituality, retreats/days of reflection, and group facilitation.   I have one book in publication: Connecting Faith and Life: Theological Reflection, Loyola Press.   I received my Doctor of Ministry from the University of St. Mary of the Lake in 1991.   My Masters of Religious Education is from Seattle University.  I like to read and go for long walks and have visits with my friends.

CHARLENE MOSER, OP
I am a native of Louisville and was taught by Dominicans at Holy Rosary
Academy.  Before entering the community I graduated from St. Catharine College.  I received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathematics from the University of Nebraska, Omaha, and a Master of Science in Education from Indiana University in Bloomington.  My ministerial experience includes teaching math and science in many schools.  I also served as an assistant treasurer for the congregation and Director of Internal Development at Holy Rosary Academy.  In this ministry, I was involved with many different fund raising projects including the Kentucky Derby Festival: Ramble for the Roses.  I enjoy playing the guitar and working with video media.

 

 BARBARA RAPP, OP
I am from Louisville, KY, where I attended 12 years of school with the Dominicans of St. Catharine, Ky. As a member of the congregation I ministered as a junior high teacher and elementary school administrator for 20 years in schools in Memphis and Chicago. Before being elected to leadership in 1996, I had served as the Director of Institutional Advancement at Aquinas Institute of Theology in St. Louis. As a member of the leadership team, my primary responsibilities include properties and legal affairs. Currently I am involved in the near completion of major renovation of our almost 100-year-old Motherhouse building.  I like to do needlework and will soon begin learning how to weave.

ROSEMARY RULE, OP
 

Born in Mayfield, Kentucky, I am one of the three Kentucky natives in the group. Before entering the Dominicans at St. Catharine, Kentucky, I worked in Washington DC, in the fingerprint division of the FBI.  Since profession I have earned a BA in History from Siena College in Memphis, TN, a Masters in History from Kearney State University, Nebraska, and a MA in systematic theology from the University of Notre Dame.  My ministries have included teaching at elementary and secondary levels in Chicago, Memphis, Kentucky, Ohio and Nebraska as well as parish visiting.  Services for the Congregation include Vocation ministry, Regional Coordinator, and trusteeship for St. Catharine College and St. Agnes Academy/St. Dominic School in Memphis. Reading, cooking, and talking on the phone are some of my favorite things. 

 

Teresa Tuite, OP
I am a native of Brockton, Massachusetts.  I attended St. Patrick School for twelve years and after graduation entered the Dominicans.  I earned a Bachelor of arts degree in Math and Theology from Siena College and a Masters degree in Library Science from Spalding University.  Dominicans love to study so when I went to Chicago in 1974 I continued my studies and earned a Masters in Pastoral Studies from Loyola University and a Doctor of Ministry from the University of St. Mary of the Lake.  My ministerial experience includes teaching, Director of Religious Education, teaching in the Pastoral Leadership Program in Joliet diocese.  I also am an itinerant preacher which is the heart of my ministry.  Until I was elected to be on the Governing Board I was Director of Adult Education at St. Michael Parish in Orland Park, IL.  I like to take long walks, to read and to garden.
