Ann  Marie  Buescher, OPA

Born into life: November 6, 1928

Became an Associate on April 24, 1993

Born into eternal life on  May 18. 2009

Ann became a Dominican Associate on April 24, 1993 in Memphis during the Spring Area Day, which was held at St. Agnes Academy.  During these past sixteen years as an associate, Ann was an active member of our local chapter group for many years until distance and health led to her inability to attend many of our gatherings. As she pledged in her initial covenant, Ann did share with us her prayer life, her service to her parish as a Eucharistic Minister and her ministry as the receptionist at Catholic Charities.  Over the years, Ann served her parish in many capacities.  She was on her parish’s education committee, facilitated the Little Rock Scripture Program, and had been on the Parish Council.

In the early years of our Saturday Morning Chapter Group, Ann had volunteered be a secretary for us and sent in information to the Motherhouse about our activities and what we were studying.  Ann was devoted to her family and to her parish.  She was originally from Fitchburg, Massachusetts.  She leaves behind her six children, Debora, Michael, Katie, Joseph, Nancy, and John.  Her 16 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren were a joy to her life. She will be greatly missed by her family and the Dominican community.  Let us pray for the peaceful repose of Ann’s soul and the consolation of her family.
