Elinor A. "Ellie" Hartnett was born on January 25, 1934. She was a resident of Arlington, MA for 2 years but a resident of Cambridge for 50 years. Ellie graduated from DePaul University in Chicago. She spent 44 years in teaching, with over twenty years at Burlington High School. she was a long-time member of St. John's Church Parish Council. She is the beloved sister of Sister Ann Regis, OP, of St. Catharine, Kentucky; Mary Drummey of Norwood and Thomas J. of Chatham. Ellie is also survived by 12 nieces and nephews. We remember her as one of our Associates. Ellie was very, very active in the Associate Program and was a leader n the Eastern Region. It was rare that on a holiday or special occasion the Sisters at Rosary Manor (Watertown) would not be partaking in some of Ellie's wonderful homemade treats. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in Saint John's Church on Saturday, November 19, 2005.
