On Sunday, October 12, 2003 the community gathered in the chapel of Sansbury Care Center for liturgy. This was to be a special day. Three women would make their initial covenants as Associates of the Dominican Sisters of St. Catharine of Siena. Myrna Page, Judy Richardson and Janice Bradley were joined by their sponsors, Sr. Marie Jeanne, Susan Barefoot, OPA and Sr. Mary Brigid (who was standing in for Sr. Grace Simms). Their families and friends also joined in this day of great blessing. Sr. Helen McCarthy, Regional Coordinator for the Southern Region witnessed the signing of the covenants. | ||
